The Cornerstone Society honors generous donors whose estate plans benefit Northern Illinois University. Through their bequests and qualified deferred gifts, these generous and insightful donors provide for generations of NIU students. Their gifts are the cornerstone upon which the University grows.

- Platinum Guild $1,000,000+
- Gold Guild $250,000 - $999,999
- Silver Guild $50,000 - $249,999
- Bronze Guild under $50,000
Membership in the Cornerstone Society provides several opportunities for involvement and recognition including listing in the online Cornerstone Recognition pages; exclusive communications from University leadership; and invitations to major University events such as the annual distinguished donor event with NIU President Lisa C. Freeman.
